Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia University. He received his certification as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist and as an Athletic Therapist in 1996 and 1997, respectively. Peter received accreditation from the CHEK institute as a Golf Biomechanics Specialist and a CHEK level 2 Practitioner. Peter has had the honor of being part of the pre- and post-season physical testing for the Montreal Canadiens and their farm team, The Hamilton Bulldogs and was Athletic Therapist and Strength Coach for the Canadian Star Boat Sailing Team for the 2012 Olympics. Peter co-authored the book, “Get with the Program”, which hit 4 Amazon Best-Sellers lists and won a Quilly Award. His articles are featured in local newspapers and in the magazine Best Health Canada. Peter also recently completed his Reconditioning Course Level 2.
Melanie earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Concordia University and became a certified Athletic Therapist in 1997. She worked for various sports medicine clinics as well as provincial and elite sports teams before co-founding, in 2000, the S.P.O.R.T. Specialists Inc. She is also a certified Titleist Golf Fitness Instructor Level II. As a varsity athlete herself, she understands the drive to improve overall performance as well as quick and effective recovery from injuries. Melanie has combined her manual rehabilitation skills with her strength & conditioning background to effectively treat orthopedic injuries. Melanie has also completed her Functional Stretch Therapy (FST) course to help improve her clients movement through a dynamic approach.
Sara, overcoming several chronic injuries as a competitive Canadian National Team figure skater, pursued a Bachelor of Science at Concordia University and became a Certified Athletic Therapist. She then graduated from « Collège d’Études Ostéopathique de Montreal » in 2015 and is now practicing athletic therapy and Osteopathie. Sara is working at S.P.O.R.T Specialists since 2010. She is also involved with different sporting associations. As well as being a figure skating coach for the Lac-St-Louis region, she is the Head Athletic Therapist for Dalbé-Viau High School. As a highly ranked figure skater, she understands the importance of identifying the cause of the injury and not only treating the symptoms.
She holds a Bachelor of Science, certified in Athletic Therapy, from Concordia University in 1998. She further pursued her career by becoming a strength and conditioning specialists and attained her certification as a Pilates Instructor from Polestar Education. Stemming from her education, she has worked with various team sports and has been working for over ten years at Cirque du Soleil. Joining the S.P.O.R.T.S Specialists team she can share her knowledge and dedication for getting clients and athletes on the right path of health.
Arielle joined the S.P.O.R.T. Specialists team in Jan. 2014. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Western Ontario and pursued a Bachelor of Science from Concordia University. Upon completion of her internships with the Cobras de Terrebone Jr. AAA hockey team and the National Circus School, Arielle became a certified Athletic Therapist. As a retired competitive gymnast, Arielle continue her involvement in the sport through 12 years of coaching coaching young competitive gymnasts most recently at Club Gymnix. Her interest in the development of young athletes has drawn her to work as a therapist with multiple teams and sporting events for gymnastics (including Canadian Artistic Gymnastics Championships 2017 and 2017 Fig Artistic Gymnastics World Championships), swimming (including 2017 & 2018 Canadian Swimming Championships, 2018 Canadian Swimming Trials, and 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series Atlanta, Georgia) cheerleading, football, soccer, and hockey. She is also the AT for the Pointe Claire swim Club since June 2017 working with young to elite athletes in therapy, injury prevention and strength and conditioning. She aims to help clients gain the mobility, stability, and strength needed to succeed in their sport and physical activities.
Patrick graduated from Concordia University with a Specialization in Athletic Therapy in 2011. Patrick joined the S.P.O.R.T. Specialists’ team in 2014. While pursuit his Bachelor’s Degree, Patrick interned as a student therapist with the Men’s Varsity Hockey Team for 2 seasons. He also has volunteered as a coach with West Island hockey for the past 6 years. Working with elite athletes as well as amateur athletes, Patrick understands the commitment and drive necessary to succeed and perform at every level. He enjoys teaching proper functional movement to athletes and the general public so they can effectively use their body to attain their goals.
Kathryn studied Exercise Science with a specialization in Athletic Therapy at Concordia University. Throughout her degree, she completed internships with Concordia Varsity, John Abbott College rugby, as well as the Perform Center clinic. She graduated and became certified as an Athletic Therapist in June 2015. Since then, Kathryn has been working in strength and conditioning as both a personal trainer and a coach for a small group training program. She continues to work with various sports teams on the field, including AAA soccer, CEGEP level hockey and football. Kathryn was a competitive swimmer throughout most of her youth, and has recently joined a soccer team and began taking golf lessons. She is passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle, which has kept her involved in sports. Her aim is to help clients achieve their goals through both therapy and training, and emphasizes teaching them proper movement patterns.
Sakinah is a Certified Athletic Therapist CAT (C) and Certified Strength and Conditioning coach (CSCS) having graduated from Concordia University in 2014. She completed her internships with Beaconsfield Rugby as well as the Montreal Impact Academy. Since then she has worked with a variety of organizations including the Montreal Alouettes, working with Football, Soccer, Hockey, Basketball and has covered a variety of Martial Arts events, giving her a diverse sports background and experience.
She continues to work with High School Football Teams as well as Mens AAA Soccer Teams and in a clinic environment. Her approach focuses on functional movement and posture analysis, and corrective exercises as well as education and tips for a healthier more balanced lifestyle for her patients.
Sakinah is passionate about health, wellness and fitness teaching a variety of group classes ranging from yoga to bootcamp and boxing/kickboxing. She enjoys staying active herself, boxing recreationally, jogging and weight training and takes a great deal of pride and joy in helping others get more active, stay more active and improve their quality of life.
Erica Cavallo graduated from Concordia University in 2005 in Exercise Science: Athletic Therapy specialization. She became a certified Athletic Therapist in June 2007. In 2009 Erica decided to pursue her studies in Osteopathy to further her skills as a health care professional. She has since completed her thesis on Fibromylgia and the treatment of the brain-gut axis and has received her official diploma in Osteopathy in June 2017.
Erica has worked with many teams such as the St-Leonard Cougars, AAA soccer and UQAM’s Women Basketball team.
Her background in athletic therapy and her passion for Osteopathy, has allowed her to apply both methods of treatment to better improve the health and wellbeing of her patients. Erica’s practice can benefit many populations from new born to geriatrics. Osteopathy can have a positive effect on a multitude of physical ailments, ranging from the musculoskeletal system to the proper functioning of the digestive system.
Marie Joelle received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, specialization in Athletic Therapy, from Concordia University. She got her national certification in 2017. Prior to playing professionally for the Canadiennes de Montreal (2018-2019), she played on the Concordia Women’s Varsity Hockey Team (The Stingers) for 5 full years. Her rich experience in professional sport at a high level as well as her interest in fitness and health got her positions as therapist with many amateur and professional teams (football, hockey, rugby)as well as working with the general population in fitness facilities.

Alexandre is a newly certified athletic therapist. He graduated from the Exercise Science program with a specialization in Athletic Therapy at Concordia University. He has gained various abilities throughout his different internships, employments and volunteering experiences. He has completed clinical and field internships with college varsity athletes from various sports. Alexandre, when a student, was exposed to numerous sports: football, hockey, rugby, soccer, basketball and cross-country.
He has done some volunteering with the Ironman Mont-Tremblant as a first responder for the past five years. Alexandre has been an avid sports enthusiast since very young and has developed a passion for running and triathlon. He has recently completed a strength and conditioning internship where he worked with the general population and athletes from different age groups. Alexandre possesses the will and the devotion necessary to help others to return to their activities.
Chelsea joined the S.P.O.R.T. Specialists team in September 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University, where she majored in Linguistics and minored in Human Relations. Through her studies, Chelsea has developed a great ability to recognize and make use of her strengths as a team member, and she aims to use these skills to contribute to a positive experience for everyone who comes in to the studio. She also participated in her city’s league soccer team for many years in her youth, and although she no longer plays in an official league, she still enjoys playing recreationally. In the future, Chelsea hopes to pursue a career in the publishing industry as an editor.
Emma joined the S.P.O.R.T Specialists team in August 2018. She is currently majoring in the Health Sciences at John Abbott College and hopes to later pursue a career in nursing. Throughout her youth, she partook in competitive swimming, softball, tennis and badminton. She believes in the importance of leading a healthy and active lifestyle, and looks forward to encouraging our clients to achieve their fitness goals.
Linda joined the sport specialist team in August 2019. She has worked as administrative assistant and a sales administrator for many years. She loves yoga and enjoys participating in Pilates classes. She strives to live a healthy lifestyle and to achieve her goals. She is enthusiastic about sharing her experiences and encouraging our clients.
